The Spaniard, Miguel Servet (Michael Servetus), roasted at the stake with his book chained to his leg. Both the Catholic Church and the entire Reformation movement accused him of heresy. The Frenchman, John Calvin (Joan Chauvin) was the father of Reformed theology. Calvin condemned Servet. The Dutch and the Scottish took Reformed Christianity to the rest of the world. This blog is the product of Dutch and Scottish influences, and an inward look at what it means to be Reformed in the United States at the dawn of the millennium. Critique, satire and self-contradicting analysis is what you might read here. You might even stumble across a soapbox on occasion. Ready to roast?
